Wayne Reynolds and Keith Thompson struck with late goals to give Mcllifont a draw with Brookville.Dave Colgan’s lads had the perfect start with a goal from Gerard Leonard and were thankful to the ever alert John O’Donnell who saved a certain goal immediatel­y afterwards.

O’Donnell was busy at the other end in the second half, goaling from Leonard’s pass but Mcllifont struck back to equalise.

Newfield led 3-0 at the break in this one thanks to goals from Thomas McCann (2) and Egan.Dunshaughl­in tightened up tec defence in the second half and Newfield just got in for one more goal courtesy ol Mickey Martin. A superb volley in the final minute by Meadowvicw’s Brian Dowd gave his side both points in this close tussle with Albion. Garry Martin set him up from a corner kick and Dowd made no mistake.

Johnny Kelly was also on the mark from the penalty spot. Thomas Grant was justly rewarded for all his efforts with the second goal.Kieran Rooney, Brian Dowd, Grant, Ronan Kelly, Shane Branigan and Eric O’Reilly all impressed.
