CORONA VIRUS; HELP STOP THE SPREAD OF INFECTION

Stay at home if you feel unwell; Cover your cough or sneeze with a tissue – always carry tissues; Dispose of used tissues in a waste bin after use; Wash your hands frequently and thoroughly with soap and water or an alcohol-based hand gel; Avoid touching your eyes, nose and mouth – germs spread this way; Avoid sharing water and other drinks; Contact neighbours and friends by text and phone and social media. MEATH CO. CO. PAYMENT BREAK FOR BORROWERS

The local authority is accepting applicatio­ns from their home loan borrowers affected financiall­y by the pandemic. Meath County Council has confirmed home loan borrowers from them can apply for a three-month payment break if they’re affected by COVID-19. The local authority says anyone who’s income has been affected by the pandemic can submit a form to request the payment deferral. It also has confirmed no additional interest will be added to the borrowers account as a result of the payment break. Further informatio­n, as well as the applicatio­n form, can be found on meath.ie

If you are an older person or a member of a vulnerable group and have been asked to cocoon and stay indoors during the current period of this national emergency, the message is that Meath County Council is here to support you at this time. If people need medication collected, need food or other essentials delivered to their home, transport to a health appointmen­t or any other needs at this time, the support is there for them.

We have the volunteers, who are only too willing to assist and help out.
