THE LATE GERRY WATSON RIP

Gerry Watson from Laytown passed away recently in his ninetieth year.

Gerry was in the undertaking business for many years and also in the building sector. He was one of the wittiest people that I ever met. His wit was razor sharp.

One day about twenty-five years ago I was walking along Dyer Street in the drizzly rain and Gerry standing at the door of his business said: “come on in Leo, the rain will stop soon”. In I went and he said “do you see that coffin over in the corner, it’s a bit longer than the rest of them. It would suit you to a tee”

Gerry, the epitome of a gentleman is survived by his beloved wife Biddy, sons Alan and Robert, daughters Karen and Sarah, extended family and friends. May

Gerry rest in peace.
