MR. GEORGE CONWAY

So sad to hear that another local man has left us, George Conway from Marian Villas, Laytown passed away on 23rd April, peacefully in his 80th year at Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital. George, a quiet and personable man, was involved in all aspects of community life and always willing to get involved in committees for all good causes. His great love was politics and he was font of knowledge on Irish politics. George Patrick was predeceased by his parents James and Eva, brother Bill, sisters Mary and Eva and brother-in-law Larry. He will be sadly missed by his loving sisters Teresa and Pauline (Conway Plunkett, Drogheda), sister-in-law Veronica (Liverpool), brotherinThomas Hoey Donabate, nephews, nieces, grandnephews, grandnieces, great-grandnieces and great-grandnephew (Ireland, England and Australia), relatives and friends.

In keeping with current Government guidelines George’s Funeral was strictly private for family only. A Mass of Remembrance will be held at a later date.

NO MASSES

All public Masses have been suspended until further notice. Bishop Tom reminds us that, while Masses are suspended, the voice of prayer should not be silent. Fr. Denis and Fr. Joseph will continue to offer Masses but they will be in private. Parishioners are also asked to join in prayer at this time of worry and concern. Some prayer resources and links to Daily Mass readings will be posted on the Parish Website over the coming days.
