A CHINK OF LIGHT

Over 70s who are cocooning will be able to walk or drive within 5km of their home once they avoid contact with others from today.

A five-stage plan will commence on 18th May with three weeks between each stage, hopefully resulting in our economy being fully reopened by 10th August.

Construction sites, hardware stores, garden centres, repair shops and some outdoor fitness activities etc will resume on 18th May. From 18th May small groups of friends can meet outdoors. Also, some outdoor sporting activity in small groups can resume. Schools and colleges to re-open in Sept /Oct.

Most of us have been cocooned now for over seven weeks and all the wardrobes are cleared, kitchen presses tidy and gardens weeded and fences painted; maybe a neighbour could do with a little help in their gardens and you will get a great feeling of wellbeing from helping someone else.
