Multi-talented Juliette Crosbie named Droichead Artist in Association
The Droichead arts centre, Drogheda, has announced the talented Louth native Juliette Crosbie as this year’s Artist in Association for 2024/2025
Juliette is a graduate of Gaiety School of Acting and is an award winning actress, whose credits include Harry Wild, Don’t Go Where I Cant Find You, Circle of Friends (Gaiety Theatre) and Me, Sara (Abbey Theatre).
She is a musical theatre singer and songwriter and frequently performs as soloist with The RTE Concert Orchestra. This Summer she will perform with The Hallé Orchestra, Manchester.
Juliette has developed a working history with Droichead Arts Centre in recent years, developing her first one woman show ‘Louth Mouth’ in 2020, with the support of the arts centre.
In 2023, she launched the MMM (Makers Making More) initiative with artistic director Collette Farrell aiming to provide resources, education and empowerment to local artists through workshop and panel formats.
Her ambitions are to continue to develop the MMM initiative for local artists and beyond, offering a richer selection of workshops and experiences for artists and their practice.
In addition, she will continue to develop her one woman musical Borderline, to full production. The theatre have supported the development of the musical to Work In Progress stages, which was received with acclaim in Autumn ’23.
She says she is really honoured to have been chosen and can’t wait to get started.
“I am so thrilled to be supported by Droichead this year to make some magic bits,” says Juliette. “Keep an eye on our Makers Making More Insta for exciting and empowering artist centric event.”
