Wexford companies are urged to join ‘best managed’ list

-

DELOITTE is urging Wexford companies to join its 2016/2017 Best Managed Companies Awards Programme, which is run in association with Barclays Bank Ireland.

Over the past nine years, it has produced 115 winning companies which collectively have revenues of over €10bn, employ more than 47,000 people, and are based in 20 counties across Ireland.

Previous Wexford winners include Sam McCauley Chemists. One of the primary objectives of the awards programme is to showcase the success of indigenous companies and acknowledge the contribution that this sector makes to the economy. The winning companies all demonstrate superior business performance, and the power of the best Irish indigenous companies. Companies that are successful at the end of this process will be announced in March 2017. Companies entering the programme are judged on the company’s performance using a wide range of criteria including strategy, capability, commitment, financials and management performance across all key functions of the business.

Brendan Jennings, Managing Partner, Deloitte, and judging panel member said: ‘Ireland is emerging from recession with growth and recovery very much at the forefront in future strategies for business.

‘ This year, the judges will be paying particular attention to those companies really driving confidence in the indigenous business sector in Ireland.
