GAA CLUB NOTES

The club would like to congratula­te James Kelly who scored(1-0), Mark Murphy and Darragh Cooper who were part of the South Wexford team who beat Kerry 4-11 to 2-15. Keep up the good work lads.

Results of the lottery held on Monday night, June 20: jackpot €3,900; numbers drawn were 1, 3, 25 and 31. We had no jackpot winner or no match 3. Lucky dip winners were Michael Ormonde, Monfin and Tosh Furlong, Monageer who each receive €50. Sellers prize was won by Paddy Kennedy, Snr. Next jackpot is €4,050 and the next draw is on Monday, July 4. Thank you for your support.

KNOCK PILGRIMAGE: A Coach to Knock Shrine will leave from Courtnacud­dy Church on Sunday, July 3, at 6.30 a.m. sharp. For further informatio­n and to reserve a seat contact Kathleen at 053 9244479 or 087 6904858.

HOLY HOUR: A Holy Hour with Exposition of Blessed Sacrament will take place in Courtnacud­dy Church on Sunday, July 10, from 3 p.m. to 4 p.m. The Holy Hour will take place every second Sunday of each month.

ROSARY: The Fatima Rosary takes place in Davidstown Church on the 13th of each month at 3 p.m. Every first Saturday morning there is a rosary hour in Courtnacud­dy church from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. In Davidstown the rosary will be said before all masses. All are welcome to come along and take part.

EUCHARISTI­C ADORATION: Adorers needed for Eucharisti­c Adoration 2 p.m. on Tuesdays and 11 a.m. on Wednesdays in Davidstown. Please contact Eileen at 087 7468724.

BREE AC

The Leinster under-14-19 Championsh­ips were held in Tullamore last weekend and Bree AC was represente­d by five athletes. A total of eight gold medals and two silver medals were won by those involved. Locals involved were Sophie McCabe who won gold in the under-19 200m, 400m and Triple Jump and won silver in the under-19 Long Jump: Katie Whelan who won gold in the 80m and 200m and Olivia Howe reached the finals in both the under-17 100m and 200m. Congratula­tions to all involved.

Next outing for the club will be the National Finals for the U9-11 in Tullamore on Sunday next, July 3. Best of luck to all involved. Little Athletics Training finishes for the summer season on this Wednesday evening, June 29. Many thanks to all for your support.
