FIELD EVENING A SUCCESS
There was a large attendance at St Colman’s NS field evening on June 15. The BOM and parents would like to thank all who helped in making the event such a success.
To all the parents, pupils, parents’ council and BOM who donated bottles, cakes, gave donations etc. and to all who attended the event and helped in any way on the evening. A big thank you to the houses in the community we called to who do not have children in the school but gave so generously we very much appreciate your kindness. Thank you also to the sponsors of raffle prizes.

SYMPATHY
The death occurred suddenly at Wexford General Hospital on Wednesday, June 22, of Fergus Hemmingway, Bellefield Road, Enniscorthy and Ballinlug, Killanne. To his brothers Austin, Ray and Derek and to his sisters Sheila and Linda and extended family members, neighbours and friends we extend our deepest sympathy. Burial took place in Killanne Churchyard on Friday last following service in Killanne Church. May he rest in peace.
WEDDING
Congratulations to Sinéad Byrne, Cloroguemore, Kiltealy and Eoin Murphy, Rathnure who were married in Kiltealy Church on Friday, June 17, and celebrated with family and friends afterwards in Hotel Kilkenny. We wish Sinéad and Eoin every happiness for the future.

DUFFRY ROVERS LOTTO
The numbers drawn last week were 4, 5, 17 and 30. No match 4. Olive James, Tomonia matched three and won €150. Sellers prizes Jim Hanrahan, Martin O’Connor, Pat Armstrong and the Watchorn family. The draw tonight Tuesday, June 28, is in Bowes, Kiltealy. Jackpot €6,600.
CHURCH GATE COLLECTION
The recent Church gate collection for special needs children trip to Lourdes raised €217 in Ballindaggin and €307 in Kiltealy. Many thanks to all who contributed to this very worthy cause.
CYCLING
Congratulations to Fionn Jordan, Cloroguebeg who has been selected for the Leinster junior cycling tour panel 2016 which will be staged in Ennis, Co. Clare from 12th – July 17. Fionn was also on the 2015 Leinster panel for the junior tour. Best of luck in the race.
HORSE RACING
Congratulations to trainer Colin Bowe and jockey Barry O’Neill who had great success at the races in Leopardstown on Thursday, June 16, with Don Vincenzo (4/1). It was great week for the pair all round as they also had a winner in Roscommon on Tuesday the 14th with Havana Dancer (14/1) and at Bettyville on Wednesday the 15th with Golden Flowerpower (3/1).
