FILMING IN THE VILLAGE

Over the past three weeks, Clonegal has been the centre of attention as the beautiful village had been selected as a location in a forthcoming film ‘The Deer Leap’. Several scenes in the film were shot in local homes, Dunne’s and Plunketts shop, Osborne’s Pub, the ball alley, lower street and Huntington Castle and one of the village residence, Ben Dunne, featured as extra in the film. The filming has had a huge impact on the village, which was very welcome by all those in the area.
