Garrylough Mill among lots to go under hammer with Allsop

EIGHT properties across Wexford will go under the hammer in an online auction on September 13.

The properties which will be Allsop’s largest online auction to date will take place from 10am until 5.30pm with a lot closing every two minutes throughout the day.

In total over 220 residentia­l and commercial properties with a total reserve of over €33m go under the virtual hammer.

There is a strong commercial offering throughout Wexford with just two residentia­l properties on offer.

The picturesqu­e Garrylough Mill in Screen, a substantia­l restaurant in a renovated 19th century mill, has a reserve range of between €115,000 and €125,000. The property which is currently vacant is arranged over ground and four upper floors. Internally the property comprises a ground floor restaurant. The upper floors are arranged to provide storage and ancillary accommodat­ion. The property further benefits from an extensive yard to the rear. The total floor area of the property is 3,305 square feet.

A mixed-use detached investment property on Railway Road in Gorey comprising a ground and first floor beauty salon together with a separate ground and first floor office building is the most expensive property up for auction. The property also benefits from a ground floor flat to the rear and is reserved between €180,000 and €220,000.

The beauty salon currently generates an annual rent of €6,396 while the ground and front floor office building and the ground floor flat are vacant.

An extensive mid-terrace office building on Upper George’s Street in Wexford town comes to the auction room with a reserve range of between €175,000 and €185,000. In New Ross 6 John Street comes to auction with a reserve of between €38,000 and €42,000. The vacant mid terrace retail building is arranged over ground and two upper floors with a total floor area of 1,378 square feet. Internally the property comprises a retail accommodat­ion at ground floor level and office accommodat­ion over the upper floors.

The final property and the cheapest on offer is located at Ballybreen, Kiltealy. It is an uncomplete­d four bed detached house, It has a reserve range of between €35,000 and €45,000.
