NEW GRAVEYARD

A few months ago we approached Wexford County Council with reference to the new graveyard in Glenbrien. As many of you are aware, the new graveyard regularly floods. As well as this, the footpath up through the graveyard was very unsteady underfoot and almost impossible for someone to push a wheelchair or child’s pram through it.

In the past few weeks, some drainage work has been completed in the graveyard. The main pathway up through the graveyard has also been resurfaced. This has been a major improvement and it is now much steadier underfoot.

We would like to thank everyone who helped to get this work done especially the Enniscorthy Local Engineer and local councillor Paddy Kavanagh

GAA LOTTO

In the GAA lotto held on August 31 winning numbers were 1, 4, 26 and 28 Bonus 2. Lucky-dip winners Damien Mahon, Willie Kavanagh, Frankie Kehoe, Martin Fitzgerald, Seán Fox, molly Quigley, J Rowsome, Celia Nolan. Next draw is on September 14 for a jackpot of €12,100, tickets on sale locally.

BYGONE STORYTELLING

The Bygone Storytelling house in Oulart and friends present a night of Music Song and stories and Craig in the Riverside Park Hotel Enniscorthy on September 25 at 8 p.m. A great night is assured. Come along and bring the family bring friends we need you to support this in aid of the Thatching fund. Tickets can be bought at the door on the night.
