IT’S TIME TO dig out the frocks as a glitzy ‘Evening of Fashion’ fundraiser will be staged by Scissor Sisterz this Wednesday October 12 in the Riverside Park Hotel.

Organised in aid of Wexford Hospice Homecare, the show will be presented by broadcaste­r Tracey Piggot and produced by Marietta Doran, while Enniscorth­y native and Xpose presented Laura Mullet will also be involved.

Models Deirdre Codd, Mary Leacy, Ciaran Lyng, Karen McGillycud­dy, Eoghan Nolan, Siona Nolan, Joey Wadding and Leah Walsh and others will wow the crowds on the catwalk on the night. Model’s clothing will be supplied by Enniscorth­y stores Glamour, Helen’s Home Shop, Modern Fashions, Ottiva, Put A Bow On It, Sofia’s Choice and Yellow Rose.

An auction on the night will be conducted by Jimmy Gahan, with prizes including a framed barn owl drawing by Don Conroy and three signed replica jersies donated by John Giles representi­ng stages in his football career. These include Manchester United 1963 Cup Final; Leeds United 1972 Centenary Cup Final and a Republic of Ireland 1970’s team jersey.

There will also be plenty of raffle prizes donated by Wexford businesses. To top off the night, the Enniscorth­y Gospel Choir will provide the music.
