Cloughbawn and Rosslare Strand at the summit

Division 2A

Cloughbawn moved back to the top of the Division 2A table after eking out a win away to Killenagh Wanderers.

Cillian Doyle, Barry Carton and Stephen Mahon scored for the visitors in a 3-2 victory.

Rosslare Strand also sit on 13 points at the summit after overwhelming Duncannon 6-2, with Tiarnan Rossiter helping himself to a hat-trick, Mark Buckley adding a double and Danny O’Reilly getting their other goal.

Johnny Rogan and Seán Byrne got on the scoresheet for Rosslare Port, but they were held to a 2-2 draw by Enniscorthy Town.

North End United were much too good for Fethard Rangers, winning 5-0 with goals from Pa Beary, Deccie Broaders (two), Stephen Kelly and Dylan Redmond.

Elsewhere, Rathnure and Forth Celtic shared the spoils after a 1-1 draw.

Division3

The Ballagh earned their first win of the season on Sunday as they came out on top in a seven-goal thriller against Bree United,

Ian Storey, Cathal Kenny, Michael Lillis and Kevin O’Brien got the goals for the winners, with Seán Ring, Philip Walsh and Tony Ryan replying for Bree.

Bunclody moved to the top of the table after a 2-0 win over fellow high-flyers Cushinstown, while P.J. Bourke bagged the goal for Ballymurn in their 1-1 draw with Caim United.

Enniscorthy United ran out convincing 6-0 winners against New Ross Celtic, with James Sheridan and Ger Molloy netting doubles and Conor Bolger and Mark Morrissey also getting in on the act.

Ferns United got their first victory on the board as goals from Pete Whelan and Owen Ronan helped them to a 2-1 win in Oylegate.

Division 3A

Wexford Albion are playing in the same manner which saw them ease to the Division 4 title last season, and on Sunday they made it five wins from five when edging out Shelburne 3-2.

Shane O’Connor, Kyle Mahon and Paul Dempsey (penalty) got the goals for the Wexford town side, with Rob Kehoe netting a double in reply.

Rosbercon United had also won their first four games, but they were brought back down to earth on Sunday when they lost 4-3 to Courtown Hibs, with Jamie St. Ledger (two) and Decci Walsh scoring for the New Ross side.

Elsewhere Liam Shannon (two), Jeff Kearney and Denis Kenny scored for Kilmore United but they lost 5-4 to Bridge Rov- ers, and Curracloe overcame Campile United 3-2.

Division4

Crossabeg leapfrogged Gorey Celtic at the summit as they came out on top 3-2 in their top of the table clash thanks to goals from Conor Keeling, Conor Kelly and James Carley.

Corach Ramblers are breathing down their necks after seeing off Rosslare Rangers by the same scoreline, with James Byrne, Aaron Diskin and Richie Walsh getting on the scoresheet.

Larry Cahill (two), Seamie Kehoe and Conor Tighe got the goals for St. Leonards in their 4-3 win over Moyne Rangers.

Carne F.C. certainly had their shooting boots on as they beat Wexford Bohs 6-2, with goals from Stephen Murphy and Emmet Doyle and doubles from Leigh Aylward and Fergie Buckley. Michael O’Rourke and Chris Downes replied for Bohs.

All Blacks also collected three points as they overcame Enniscorthy United 3-1, with Shane Sinnott netting a double and Mark Whelan adding their other goal.

Division 4A

Cloughbawn continued their winning streak when overcoming Enniscorthy Town 5-2 on Sunday with goals from Kevin Murphy (two), Adrian Cullen, James Dempsey and Stephen Kennedy.

Mick Farrington got on the scoresheet for St. Joseph’s but they lost 3-1 to Ajax Athletic, while Shamrock Rovers sauntered to a 6-1 win over Taghmon United, with goals from Michael Clinton, Tony Kenny (two), David Sullivan (two) and Aaron Morrissey.

A Dean Doyle double and goals from Seosamh Cash and Jason Kerins earned Bree United a 4-4 draw with Boolavogue, while Mick Kelly (two), John Ryan and John Kavanagh got the goals for Tombrack in their thrilling 4-3 win over Rosslare Port.

Division 5

Wexford Albion dropped their first points of the campaign as they were held to a 2-2 draw by Duncannon on Sunday, with Mark Browne and Shane Rossiter scoring for the Wexford town side.

Castledockrell took advantage to close the gap to two points by beating Stoney Rovers 2-0 with goals from Murt Hendrick and Colm Bennett.

St. Cormac’s were the big hitters on the day, beating Camolin 8-1, with Mark Walsh scoring five, Dean Fortune adding a double and Michael Rossiter grabbing their other goal.

A Josh Whitehead goal was enough for Ballymurn to beat Cushinstown, while Killenagh edged out Caim United 2-1.
