Doyle double sees Seaview top group

Women’ s Premier One Shield Group C

Seaview United 2, Adamstown 1: Both these sides have qualified for the quarter-finals of the Shield but it is Seaview who will top the group after this 2-1 win over Adamstown.

Catherine Doyle scored both goals for the home side while Nikki Dunphy was on target for the visitors.

Women’ s Division al Shield Group A

Camolin Celtic 2, St. Cormac’s 0: Camolin have qualified for the knockout stage of the Divisional Shield after they overcame St. Cormac’s to finish second in the group behind Courtown.

Goals from Niamh O’Leary and Rachel Kearney saw the home side achieve the win they needed.

Women’ s Premier Division

Curracloe United 0, East End United 4: East End are top of the Premier Division after they came away from Curracloe 4-0 winners. It was the visitors’ ability to put the ball in the net that proved the difference between the sides, with Laura Dooley (two), Rea Lawson and Becky Walsh scoring the goals.

Women’s Division1

North End United 4, Corach Ramblers 2: The Wexford town side opened their league campaign with a win when they overcame Corach Ramblers in an exciting fast-paced encounter.

Sara Byrne and Triona Sinnott were on target for Ramblers while Shauna Carley (two), Martina Pender and Lauren Roche all scored for the winners.

Bree United 2, All Blacks 3: Tina Colloton is making a major impact as she scored a hat-trick for All Blacks to move them to the top of the division after a hard-earned win over Bree United.

Mary O’Gorman and Lauren Sinnott were on target for the home side who will feel a little unlucky not to have got at least a point from this game.

Women’ s Division 2 A

Moyne Rangers 1, St. Leonards 3: St. Leonards are sitting joint top of the table after this win away to a Moyne side who have all the talent but are finding it difficult to kick-start their season.

Nicola Davitt scored for Rangers but goals from Alex Holden, Ciara Ryan and Fiona Ryan gave the visitors all three points, continuing their good start to the season.

All involved in this game would like to wish Moyne ’keeper Ciara Morrissey a speedy recovery after a head injury saw her having to leave the field.

St. Joseph’s 8, New Ross Town 1: The home side are also flying this season and although this game started very tight, St. Joseph’s soon took control and ran out comfortable 8-1 winners.

Michelle Gahan (four), Pamela Walshe (two), Emer O’Leary and Sarah Walshe were all on target for the winners.

Women’ s Division 2 B

Seaview United ‘B’ 5, Wexford Bohs 0: Seaview’s second team got their league campaign off to a winning start when proving too strong for new club Wexford Bohs.

Goals from Shannon Doyle (two), Kayleigh Shannon (two) and Aoibheann Ryan gave the home side the win.

Rosslare Rangers 3, Shelburne F.C. 0: This game was much closer than the scoreline might suggest but Rangers eventually got control of the match and ran out 3-0 winners.

Lauren Barry was the heroine for the home side, scoring a hat-trick with one goal in the first-half and two in the second to move her side top of the table.

Women’s Division3

Ajax Athletic 0, Bridge Rovers 5: Bridge Rovers picked up an important three points as they travelled to Ajax Athletic and came away 5-0 winners.

Holly Johnson scored one while Sinéad Ronan scored an impressive tally of four to give Rovers victory.

Tombrack United 1, Stoney L.F.C. 1: This game seemed to be heading for a scoreless draw between two very hard-working sides until Sarah Merrigan put Tombrack ahead in the 90th minute, but Chloe Foxe levelled 30 seconds later.

Both sides were disappointed they didn’t win the game but both probably were content with a point in the end.

Fastnet Rovers 1, Cushinstown A.F.C. 2: Cushinstown are off to a flying start in the league and are currently top of division three after this win over Fastnet Rovers.

Amie Gaffney and Helen Power were both on target for the visitors while Geraldine Monaghan scored for Rovers
