UNDERAGE GAA
The Kildavin-Clonegal GAA Club’s under-12 team stepped out on to the Pitch at Netwatch Cullen Park last Saturday morning, having earned their place in the Division three County Final. They took on the favorites Askea. Despite a spirited performance from a young and talented under-12 team the lost to a deserving Askea.
Local supporters turned out in numbers and the stand in Netwatch Cullen Park was a sea of Red and Black. The boys had attended 55 training sessions and played 15 games to earn their place in the final.
The club is grateful to Wayne Austin and Ted Cronin the trainers who invested all this time in the team. It is grateful to the boy’s parents who supported this substantial commitment to our national games, our club and our community. Most importantly the club is proud and grateful to the boys themselves, who have given us a reason to look to the future with optimism.
