THE menopause is a natural stage in a woman’s life, and I am happy to talk about it again and again seeing as it can go on and on, and on! Recently I told you about Solo Wellbeing for Women, a natural remedy for the menopause which worked great for me. This remedy is a combination of herbs and vitamins which many women find fantastic. It’s not the only remedy, it never is, and there are many options on the market to try.

The symptoms can vary and some women sail through while others can get symptoms such as hot flushes, night sweats, vaginal dryness, mood swings, declining libido, ageing skin, lack of energy, joint pains, weight gain, headaches and changes in hair quality, irritability, insomnia, and anxiety, physical and mental exhaustion.

Hot flushes and night sweats are the most common symptoms that I get asked about. Certain foods and situations can trigger some hot flushes and these can include spicy foods, caffeinated drinks, alcohol and stressful situations. A. Vogel Sage- Menosan is the remedy I choose for hot flushes and night sweats.

NHP Meno Herbal Support is a herbal remedy that contains soya, hops, sage and red clover combined together in one formula to help normalise hormonal imbalance and help deal with the symptoms of the menopause, including hot flushes, night sweats, mood, irritability, low libido. This supplement contains flaxseeds which will give you the essential Omega fatty acids which will help improve your skin, hair, nails, and help with your mood. It’s a good combination and worth taking a look at if you are still looking for a solution. Some women prefer this supplement because they are already taking a multi vitamin and only want the herbal blend.
