DRAMA FESTIVAL

On last Wednesday, Thursday and Friday night, Coolgreany Drama Group held their annual festival where seven different plays were presented over the three nights, and on each night there was a full house which all of the attendance­s enjoyed on each night. Three of the plays were performed by the local drama group and were very well received. Well done to everyone involved in the organising the festival which was a great success.

TIDY TOWNS

Keep Wexford Beautiful Competitio­n Results will be revealed in the Ferrycarri­g Hotel on the Tuesday, November 15, and the committee are hoping for good results from there.

There will be a meeting shortly to discuss recent marks from the Tidy Towns Competitio­n, any new ideas and help would be very much appreciate­d.

CAMOGIE AGM

Please note that the annual general meeting of Castletown/ Liam Mellows camogie club will take in the club house at the Community Field, Coolgreany on Monday, November 21, at 8 p.m. Everyone is welcome.

BIRTHDAYS

We send birthday greetings to Casey Rose Kennedy, Askinch and Finn Andrew Joseph Russell, Croghan View, both of whom will celebrate their first birthdays on next Sunday, November 6.

DUBLIN CITY MARATHON

A huge Congratula­tions and well done to the local members of the Athletic Club including the Boland Family, Nicky, Majella, and Melissa, and also Brian Bolger and Philip Redmond who participat­ed in the Dublin City Marathon last weekend.

HANDBALL

Another week of great suc- cess for three of the local girls Cliodhna O’Connell, Leanne Boland, and Lauren Flanagan who joined up with other girls to be part of a Leinster team who played Munster for a provisiona­l all-Ireland Title which was played in Cashel Co Tipperary on last Saturday.

Two under-13s Doubles, Two U 15’s Doubles, and two under-17s Doubles, in the under-15s Doubles it was Cliodhna O’Connell and Leanne Boland, while Lauren Flanagan partnered Molly Dagg Kildare in the under-17 Doubles, unfortunat­ely the Leinster girls lost by just three points. What an excellent Achievemen­t by the Coolgreany Handball Club over the last few weeks, Well done to everyone involved.
