GAA CLUB NOTES

Wexford champions. We don’t hear that too often in this part of the county. But that title was hard earned by the Ballythomas girls mini seven football team last Tuesday. They overcame Danesfort school on a scoreline of 2-6 to 2-1. The Rackard league girls’ team have reached the Wexford semi-final easily beating Oulart school in the district final on Thursday afternoon. Warriors all. This could be hailed as the year of the under-12 girls.

The boys Rackard team, who did so well getting to the county semi-final, were beaten by Glynn schools during the week. The score was 1-12 to 0-7. Proof, if needed, that there is a lot of talented young boys and girls in the parish.

There was no jackpot winner in the lottery on the 24th. There were however nine match-three winners, so it was almost won. The numbers were 3, 10, 17 and 22.
