Close race on cards in greyhound decider

THE FEATURE event on Thursday night’s card at Enniscorthy Dog Track will be the final of the Soltherm External Insulation A2/3, and a very close race is expected as the trap draw is suiting some more than others.

Ballinclare Fion, owned by Aislinn McCann (Gorey), was sent off hot favourite for the first semi last week and he really had to show his class as Coyote Sea set a hot pace out front and down the back straight.

Favourite Ballinclare had to battle all the way to the line to hold the renewed effort of Coyote, with only a neck separating them at the line. Tycoon Prince ran on well to get the third qualifying spot. The winning time of 28.95 was the fastest of the night.

The second semi saw reserve Good Ability set the pace down to the third bend, but as they ran to the line, Bing David, owned by Vincent Morris of Rosslare Harbour, prevailed by a length from Good Ability and Master Conor in 29.12.
