Dwyer grabs a treble as Moyne outclass Ajax

Table-toppers Moyne Rangers fought back from an early setback to overcome local rivals Ajax Athletic on Sunday.

Darragh Morrissey gave Ajax the lead inside the first minute but Moyne comfortabl­y collected the points, winning 5-1, with Timmy Dwyer netting a hat-trick, Diarmuid Cullen converting a penalty and an own goal adding to their tally.

Second-placed Wexford Celtic continued their good run by beating Fastnet Rovers 2-1, while Owen Quigley (two), Cathal Murphy and Anton Stafford got the goals for Stoney Rovers in their 4-2 away win over Gorey Rangers.

North End United and Adamstown shared the spoils after a 0-0 stalemate, while a single goal was enough for Shelburne to take the points against Shamrock Rovers.

Division2A

Leaders Cloughbawn continued their impressive form when winning 3-0 in Duncannon on Sunday.

Páidí Cullen bagged a double for the pacesetter­s, with Adrian Stanchion adding their other goal.

Seán Duffy and Dermot Rossiter got the goals for New Ross Town as they edged out Rosslare Port 2-1, with Jamie McMahon netting for Port.

Conor Clancy and Danny O’Reilly hit the back of the net for Rosslare Strand, but they were on the wrong side of a 4-2 scoreline against Enniscorth­y Town.

Elsewhere Forth Celtic picked up three points after overcoming Rathnure 2-0.

Division3

Enniscorth­y United have been on a great run of late and on Sunday they moved to within a point of top spot after seeing off Ballymurn 5-3 thanks to an own goal, a Bill Rigley double and singles from Barry Nolan and Willie Sullivan.

Leaders Bunclody were held to a 2-2 draw by New Ross Celtic, with Tommy Lee and Dylan Murphy getting the goals for Celtic, while Raheen won 3-2 in Caim.

Nicky Sinnott got the Cushinstow­n goal in their 1-1 draw with Ferns, while goals from Barry Dunne and Pierce Murphy earned Oylegate a 2-0 win over The Ballagh.

Division3A

Rosbercon United leapfrogge­d fellow promotion-hopefuls Camolin thanks to an impressive 3-0 away win on Sunday.

Philip O’Connor, Barry Ryan and Joey Meggs all hit the back of the net for the New Ross side.

Shelburne moved into third place in the table after a 4-0 win over Wexford Celtic, while Patrick Somers and Mark O’Gorman got the goals for Castledock­rell as they beat Curracloe 2-0.

Campile United overwhelme­d an understren­gth Kilmore United 9-0, with Declan Murphy netting a hat-trick, Richie Waters and Dylan Whitty scoring doubles, and Danny Byrne-Murphy and Jamie Wallace adding a goal apiece.

Division4

All Blacks inflicted a heavy defeat on leaders Crossabeg on Sunday, winning 9-0.

Moyne Rangers picked up three points after edging out Enniscorth­y United 2-1 in a local derby. David Franklin and Dylan McVeigh got the goals for the winners, with Seán Murphy scoring for United.

Darragh O’Connor and Jon Reville got on the scoresheet for Corach Ramblers as they drew 2-2 with Carne F.C., while Rosslare Rangers won 2-1 away to Gorey Celtic with goals from Richie Bent and Dylan Parle.

Philly Berry, Chris Downes and Darragh Goodison scored for Wexford Bohs as they beat St. Leonards 3-1, with Tommy Byrne replying for the saints.

Division4A

Cloughbawn recovered from the previous week’s hiccup in style by winning 6-3 away to Bree United on Sunday.

Stephen Kennedy, Dean Murphy, Paul Lambert, Seán Lambert, ‘Fonz’ Kehoe and Paul Foley all got on the scoresheet for the visitors, with Dean Doyle, Shane Jordan and Seán Ring replying for Bree.

St. Joseph’s drew 1-1 with Tombrack, with Gary Doran scoring for the saints and John Kavanagh replying for Tombrack, while a Pa Redmond goal was enough for Shamrock Rovers to edge out Boolavogue 1-0.

Elsewhere Enniscorth­y Town won 1-0 away to Rosslare Port and Taghmon United and Ajax Athletic drew 1-1.

Division5

Wexford Albion extended their advantage at the top of Division 5 thanks to a 3-1 win in Camolin on Sunday. Castledock­rell lost ground on the leaders when they were beaten 6-3 by St. Cormac’s, with Dean Fortune netting a hat-trick for the winners, Niall Finn adding a double and Ian Hawkins getting their other goal.

Ballymurn won 3-2 in Caim, with Josh Whitehead helping himself to a double and Kevin Sludds getting their other goal, while Duncannon beat Cushinstow­n 4-2, with Niall Bradley and Ciarán Doyle on target for the visitors.

Wayne Donnelly bagged a hat-trick for Stoney Rovers as they won 4-2 in Killenagh, with Paul Delaney also hitting the back of the net.
