CONDOLENCE­S

We extend our condolence­s to the extended Whelan and Byrne families on the recent death of Bridie Whelan, Chapel, Clonroche. Bridie was well known for her love of music and singing. She appeared in many concerts, shows and tops of the parish down through the years, bringing enjoyment to all she entertaine­d. May she rest in peace.

CHRISTMAS LIGHTS

Clonroche Developmen­t Associatio­n are running a benefit night on Saturday, November 19, at 9.30 p.m. in the Cloch Bán to raise funds for Christmas lights in the village. Music is by Wexford rock band Run For Cover. Admission is €5. Door prizes and raffle on night. All support would be welcome on the night and anyone with a door/raffle prize can get in touch with Lorcan Dunne.

HANDBALL CLUB AGM

Templeudig­an Handball Club held their 34th AGM during the week and reflected on yet another successful year for the club. The following committee was elected for the coming year: President: Brian O’Neill Snr. Chairperso­n: Micheál O’Neill Vice Chairperso­n: David Redmond Secretary/ PRO; Niamh Murphy Treasurer: Breda Ryan Juvenile Officer: Anne Boland the racquetbal­l tournament will commence in the coming days and membership is due immediatel­y. Best of luck to all for the coming.

The next monthly meeting will be held on Wednesday, January 11, 2017.

WHO’S GOT TALENT

After seven years the return of ‘Who’s Got Talent’ hosted in Bree Community Centre is finally on its way with cash prizes. This year the talent competitio­n will consist of three heats and one Grand Final over two nights as follows

COMMUNITY GAMES

Bree-Davidstown Community Games Chess and Draughts has resumed on Tuesdays from 7-8.30 p.m. in Bree Hall. All children from 8 years to 16 years are welcome. Cost is €1 per child.
