Two Conventions on way
THE WEXFORD ladies’ football Convention will be held on Sunday, November 27, in the Ferrycarrig Hotel at 2 p.m.
There are several positions to be filled. Clubs are asked to please send in nominations to the Co. Secretary at secretarywexford@lfgfa.ie
We ask all clubs to please attend Convention as your attendance is important to help with the running of the event and in order to have a say in how County Board is run.
Your club will be fined for non-attendance.
Meanwhile, the annual camogie Convention will take place in the IFA Centre in Enniscorthy on Monday, November 28, at 7.30 p.m.
All clubs are reminded to send delegates and to be familiar with all the motions and proposals put forward in advance.
The county Senior, Under-16 and Under-14 teams will be presented with their medals won during 2016 in the Talbot Hotel on Thursday, November 24. The Seniors will receive their Leinster medals, the Under-16s will get their Leinster shield medals, while the Under-14 team will be presented with their All-Ireland blitz medals.
Under-14 and Under-16 trials for the 2017 county teams continued last weekend and both teams had a very healthy turn-out.
The Senior and Intermediate management team also ran a trial match last Friday under lights in Bunclody, and will hold a second match this Friday night in preparation for 2017.
