We are holding a fundraisin­g concert in the clubhouse, featuring Ireland’s finest tenor, Anthony Kearns, accompanie­d by pianist Patrick Healy, on Saturday, November 26, at 8 p.m.

Ticket numbers are limited and available to members and non-members alike and will cost €30 each on a firstcome, first-served basis. Tickets can be bought in the bar and office.

There will be a mulled wine reception on arrival. Anthony will also sing a number of songs with the Enniscorth­y G.C. choir.

Après concert our own Keith and Dougie will provide the musical entertainm­ent.

We are providing a free shuttle bus into Enniscorth­y town centre after the concert.

The next Monday ladies’ and gents’ open singles competitio­ns are on November 28 and December 5, 12 and 19, and the booking sheets are open.

The next gents’ open Seniors will be on Thursday, December 15, followed by Christmas dinner and will be sponsored by Morgan Dunne and Cllr. Paddy Kavanagh.

This will be a nine-hole shotgun start at noon. The booking sheet is open and filling fast.

The Brittle Bones Christmas dinner will take place on Thursday, December 1.

The first five after the second round of the P.G.A. winter series are Keith Whelan (61), Frankie Morrissey (60), Philip Browne (60), Dan Byrne (58) and Seán Hegarty (54).

Winners for the last round were: 1, Ted Morrissey Jnr., 30 points (back seven); 2, David Bradley, 30 points; gross, Frankie Morrissey, 22 points.

The next competitio­n is on December 3 and 4, and the booking sheets are opening on November 25.
