FUNDRAISER THANKS

Irene, Noel, Aimee and Liam McDonald wish to thank everyone who helped in any way and donated to their recent charity fundraiser for Crumlins Children Hospital held in Poulpeasty Hall. The McDonald family are very grateful and overwhelme­d by the generosity and support shown to them. They appreciate the time and effort of every one who supported them and came along for a cuppa and a chat. They also acknowledg­e the donations of those who could not attend the event. Irene and Noel extend their thanks to the following Barrow office supplies, Marie Asple, Bridget Kavan- agh, Seán and Monica McDonald, Bridget Lynch, Mary and Mick Rowe, Anne Rowe, Claire Buckley, Fr Cushen.PP, Donal Murphy and again to each and everyone who attended. ENVIRONMEN­T AWARDS

Cloughbawn GAA Club won ‘Highly Commended Award’ for Best Community Waste Prevention/Re-Use Project 2016 (The Used Clothes Collection/Recycling). Clonroche Developmen­t Associatio­n won first prize for Best Heritage Preservati­on and Conservati­on Project (Johns’ Lane) while getting third prize in Best Community Environmen­t Initiative. Diarmuid O’Sullivan also won Individual contributi­on award for sustained effort over the years. Well done Diarmuid and also to all who worked so hard during 2016 to present our village in best light.

Coiste na nÓg end of year medal presentati­ons in Complex Sunday, November 27, at 6 p.m. Coiste na nÓg AGM Friday, December 2, at 7 p.m.

SPLIT-THE-POT

This week’s split-the-pot winner, drawn in the Boro Inn, was June Ryan, Spout Road. The Pot was €354.

DEVELOPMEN­TASSOCIATI­ON

Clonroche Developmen­t Associatio­n picked up two awards at the Wexford Environmen­tal Awards Last night. First John Lane; third for the Millennium Park; Dermot O’Sullivan received a Lifetime Achievemen­t Award.

There was a committee formed to raise funding for the Monaghan Family following the recent fire, Envelopes will be distribute­d during the following few weeks people are been asked for a donation, the envelopes will be collected the following week.

After seven years the return of ‘Who’s Got Talent’ hosted in Bree Community Centre is finally on its way with cash prizes. This year the talent competitio­n will consist of three heats and one Grand Final over two nights as follows
