CHRISTMAS LIGHTS

The ‘Big Switch’ will be taking place on Sunday, December 4, at Seanie and Caroline Byrne’s home in St Brigit’s Tce, Clonegal at 7 p.m. in aid of Special Olympics Carlow. Make sure to come along as every year huge crowds gather to watch the magic display of lights. A donation box will be in view at their home and hope everyone will come help support them for charity.

CHRISTMAS CAROLS

Clonegal NS Christmas Carol Service will be held in St Brigid’s Church on Tuesday, December 6. As always, all are most welcome to attend and join in the festivitie­s in preparatio­n for this special time of year. We look forward to seeing you there.

CHRISTMAS MARKET

St Fiaac’s Christmas Market will be held on Friday, Decem- ber 2, at 7 p.m. in St Brigit’s Community Hall, Clonegal. There will be the usual raffle, mini action and stalls.

PENNY BANK

This is the last week of the Kildavin-Clonegal Penny Bank Savings Club. All books will be collect by committee members this Friday, November 25; you may wish to save on that night as usual. All cheques will be handed out the following week on Friday, December 2, in Dunne’s Bar, Clonegal at 7 p.m.

GAA LOTTO

There was no winner of the jackpot of €4,200. Numbers drawn were 7, 10, 15, and 17. Winners that matched three numbers were: Elaine Mulchay, Co. Clare, Tom Doyle, Maitiú Kavanagh, The Mill, Matt Kavanagh, The Mill, Lily Byrne, Bunclody, P Plant, Clonegal and Carmel Gibson, Kildavin, receiving €25 each. Seller’s prize goes to Luke Hayden, receiving €50. Next draw will take place in Ryan’s ‘The Moss House’ Bunclody, on Sunday, November 27, at 10.30 p.m., tickets €2 each. New jackpot is €4,400.
