CHRISTMAS MARKET

Kildavin NS Parents’ associatio­n is holding a Christmas Market on December 11, from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m., in Spellman Hall, Kildavin. Come along and grab those last minute Christmas gifts and stocking fillers.

We have a variety of stalls from baked goods, Christmas crafts, fairy jars, bath bombs, jewellery, Christmas logs, wreaths, Christmas trees, embroidery and lots more. Why not relax and soak up the Christmas atmosphere with a tea, coffee or hot chocolate and a sweet treat.

Enjoy carol singing and chance your luck at the raffle or pull a cracker to win a prize, lots of fun to be had for the whole family. Entrance is free. Please tell all your family, friends and neighbours.

KILDAVIN NS

Junior Infants to second class will have a Christmas Carol Service on Tuesday, December 20, in St Lazerian’s Church. Third class – 6th classes will have their Christmas Concert on Wednesday, December 21, at 7 p.m. in Spellman Hall. For more informatio­n, please contact the school at 053 9376456.

CLONEGAL NS

The Clonegal NS Carol Service will be held in St Brigid’s Church Clonegal on Tuesday, December 6, at 7 p.m. Please come along and enjoy Christmas Carols and the Nativity Story. The service is presented by the pupils of Clonegal NS. Your support would be greatly appreciate­d. There will be a collection box for Bóthar at the door. Please help the children send two goats to poor families in Africa for Christmas.

SONG AND STORY

The Christmas session of house of song and Story will take place on Monday, December 19, at 8 p.m. in St Brigid’s Community Hall. Once again the kettle will be on the boil the ladies committee will look after the guests. Top class entertaine­rs will be on the stage and a full house is expected.

CLONEGAL CHRISTMAS FAIR

Ben Mulhall Park Christmas Indoor Market and car boot sale will be held on Sunday, December 11, from midday to 4 p.m., refreshmen­ts available. Booking is essential for indoor market. For more informatio­n, or to book a place, please contact 087 4119149.

GAA LOTTO

The Kildavin-Clonegal GAA lotto was held in Ryan’s ‘The Moss House’, Bunclody on Sunday, November 27.

Numbers drawn were 2, 10, 14 and 28. There was no winner of the jackpot of €4,400. Winners that matched three were, Samantha Byrne, Clonegal, Matthew Hayden and B, J,P, S,A, D,O c/o Billy Murphy, receiving €50 each. Seller’s prize goes to Rose Sheil receiving €50.

The next draw will take place in Conway’s Lounge, Kildavin on Sunday, December 11, with a jackpot worth €4,600.

HUNTINGTON CASTLE FAIR

Huntington Castle will be hosting its annual Christmas Food Fair on Sunday, December 18. Make sure you pop in between midday-5 p.m. for a delight of delicious treats and artisan goodies. The Tearooms, Gardens and Gift shop will also be open.

KIDS CLUB

Bunclody Christmas Kids Club will be held in the soccer club, Church Road, Bunclody, on Tuesday, December 13, from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m.
