Aoife’s debut single is racing up the Irish charts

-

Gorey’s Aoife Parle has broken into the top 5 of the Irish charts with her debut single ‘Silver Lining’.

Aoife, who works in Tesco, Gorey, wrote and recorded the single to raise funds for Tesco Ireland’s charity partner, Temple Street Children’s Hospital.

Over the past week, the single has been steadily climbing up through the charts following phenomenal public support.

Aoife outsold Maroon 5, Chainsmokers, and even Mariah Carey’s ‘All I Want for Christmas’ to take the number five spot in the Irish charts.

And it is not too late to support. The single is available to buy in all 148 Tesco stores across Ireland for €2. ‘Silver Lining’ is also available for 99c to download via iTunes, Google Play, Amazon and Spotify.

Aoife said she was truly delighted to have broken into the top 5 and be helping the little heroes in Temple Street and thanked everyone who has bought the single so far.

Speaking on behalf of all patients in Temple Street, Emma Barrett of Temple Street Foun- dation sent a huge thank you to Aoife and her colleagues for all their support. ‘Please pop down to your local Tesco store and pick up the CD, which is the perfect stocking filler this Christmas,’ she said. ‘Every €2 really does go such a long way toward helping little heroes.’

Temple Street has been Tesco’s charity partner since October 2014, raising over €2.1m for the hospital in that time, helping buy life-saving equipment.
