Top line-up revealed for 2017 music festival

- By DAVID TUCKER

IT may be the middle of winter, but five of Ireland’s leading leading country performers are already confirmed to play the South East Country Music Festival 2017 at Killag, during the middle of summer on July 30, 2017.

A stellar line-up of artists includes Nathan Carter, Mike Denver, Jimmy Buckley, Cliona Hagan and Lee Matthews. Tickets will go on sale this weekend following high demand ahead of Christmas.

Killag played host to the first South East Country Music Festival in August of this year. Given the tremendous success of this festival, which saw over three thousand people in attendance, the committee are working towards a bigger and better festival this year.

‘We delivered an exceptional event this year and promise to enhance the festival for its second year in July 2017.’ said Fr Denis Doyle, Chairman of the South East Country Music Festival committee.

‘We are confident will attract festival-go- ers the length and breadth of the country. This unique event will be the country festival highlight in the South East once again next summer,’ he said.

In anticipation of the high demand for festival tickets ahead of Christmas, tickets, priced at just €25, are available at local outlets which are listed on www. southeastcountrymusicfestival.com and are available to buy online on eventbrite. com. The event will take place at Bannow-Rathangan Showground’s, near Kilmore Quay in Killag.
