COFFEE MORNING/SALE

Fifth and sixth class pupils from Ballycanew National School are holding a coffee morning and cake sale on Friday, December 16, from 9 a.m. 11 a.m. in the school hall. Raffle tickets for a Christmas Hamper will also be available. Donations of cakes/ buns can be left into the school on Thursday afternoon or Friday morning and would be greatly appreciate­d.

All proceeds raised go towards the Ballycanew NS classroom resources fund. Everyone is welcome to call into the hall to enjoy a cuppa and some tasty treats. Fifth and sixth class would love your support.

SPLIT-THE-POT

Split the pot winner for Saturday, December 10, was Alex Meehan, winning €355. Voucher winners were Mary Ryan and Ryan O’Hara; Sweets – Noah and Elise; Biscuits – Joan Hobbs.

CHRISTMAS DRAW

The Developmen­t Associatio­n are starting a draw for a trailer of logs, draw will take place in the Ramble Inn on January 7, 2017. €2 a line or €5 for three line, we appreciate your continued support.

SANTA VISIT

Santa is visiting the village on Sunday, December 18, at 5 p.m.

CHRISTMAS LIGHTS

The Christmas lights committee would like to thank everyone for their continued support with the Split the pot. All money raised to date have went towards our own Esb connection, upgrades to strings of lights and new LED bulbs a great improvemen­t to date. Without your support the village wouldn’t look as good. Thank you for everything.

ST PATRICK’S GAA LOTTO

There was no winner of the jackpot on Monday, December 5; winning numbers were 4, 14, 15 and 28; Betty Kehoe matched three numbers and received €200. Vouchers: Ann Breen, Sophia and Alex, Flo Kavanagh, Chrissie Kinsella. Sweets: Aoife and Gemma, Sorcha Howell.
