BREE YOUTH CLUB NEWS

The Christmas Variety Show will take place on Friday, December 16, in Bree Community Centre. Tickets are available at the door. Adults €7, Children under-10 €2, Children O10 €4. All support will be greatly appreciate­d.

Peggy O’Leary was the first winner in our split-the-pot draw, winning €145. Keep a lookout for our envelopes in the local shops around Bree and support your local youth club. Next draw will take place on the first Saturday in January in Byrnes of Bree.

BREE AC

Registrati­on for Bree AC for 2017 will take place at training on this Thursday, 15th from 7.15 p.m. to 9.30 p.m. during indoor training times. Indoor training finishes on Thursday, December 15, for the Christmas season and resumes again on January 12.

There was another night of super results for Bree AC athletes in the Cross Country Winter League in Enniscorth­y on last Friday night. Girls U8 Leah Bolger 1st, Erin Ryan 10th; U9 Ciara Laffan 1st, Chloe Casey 2nd, Maura Doyle 5th; U10 Katie Doyle 1st; U11 Abbie Doyle 1st, Boys U7 Billy Doyle 1st; U8 Jayden Kenny 1st, Shane Laffan 5th, Jack Doyle 10th; U9 Cian Donovan 1st, Conn Fraser 5th, Oisin Harte 15th; U13 Conor Doyle 1st.

Next date is Sunday, January 8, at 2 p.m. in Hub and the final day is Sunday, January 15, also at 2 p.m. Best wishes to all involved.

‘WHO’S GOT TALENT’

Heat two of ‘Who’s Got Talent’ takes place on Saturday night, January 6. Heat three is on January 7 and the Grand Final is on Saturday, January 21. Bree CEP is currently taking applicatio­ns for four vacancies – Childcare Assistant (Bri Beag) Ref CES-2010365, Caretaker/ Groundskee­per (Ballyhogue GAA) Ref CES-2010372, General Maintenanc­e Worker (Bree Village) Ref CES – 2017449 and General Maintenanc­e Worker (Church of Ireland, Clonmore) Ref CES – 2021737. Applicatio­ns should be made directly to your local Department of Social Protection Office or by contacting 086 8142914 quoting the relevant reference number – qualifying criteria and Garda Vetting applies. Childcare applicants should ideally have a FETAC Level five or higher childcare qualificat­ion.

BREE ACTIVE RETIREMENT

The Christmas party Day on next Wednesday, December 21 – members and non-members welcome. The next meeting of the group will be the club AGM on January 18. We would love to have full attendance for that meeting.
