CHRISTMAS LIGHTS
A large crowd were in attendance in the village on the night of December 3 to witness the official switch on of the Christmas lights. The new LED lights are the result of months of dedicated fundraising by Kilmuckridge Tidy Towns.
The lucky children selected to turn on the lights were Wyatt, nominated by his grandmother Lynda Earls, Oran and Oisin, nominated by their grandmother Margaret O’Moore and Aoibheann Farrell and Cian Hammel, nominated by Gerry Murray. Santa was also in attendance on the night and sweets were provided for the children. The adults enjoyed a glass of mulled wine and mince pies, sponsored by Angela from Kate’s coffee shop.
We would like to thank everyone who contributed to the collections and also to Stephen and the lads who had the onerous task of placing the lights around the village.
