CHRISTMAS MASSES

Christmas Masses in the parish are at the following times. Saturday, December 24, (Christmas Eve) 7 p.m. Mass in the Church of All Saints, Castledock­rell and 9 p.m. in St Joseph’s Church, Marshalsto­wn. Sunday, December 25, (Christmas Day) 10 a.m. Mass in Castledock­rell and 11 a.m. Mass in Marshalsto­wn.

NOTES

Please note that items must reach me by 6 p.m. on a Sunday for inclusion in the following week’s edition of the paper. Late items may be held over till the fol- lowing week if still in date. Thank you for your co-operation in this matter.

SYMPATHY

Sympathy is extended to the families of the late Mary Doyle (Nee O’Leary), and the late Margaret (Peg) Blowers (Nee Brooks). May they rest in peace.

CAROL SERVICE

Christmas Carol Service for the children of Castledock­rell NS is on Thursday, December 15, at 7 p.m. in the Church of All Saints. The Junior Room will perform ‘Born in Bethlehem’. The Senior Room will perform a wonderful selection of Christmas Carols and Musical Pieces. The children are working very hard to ensure that this will be a wonderful night and we invite all members of the community to come along.

CASTLEDOCK­RELL NS NEWS

A ‘Special Visitor’ dressed in red will be coming to the school on Tuesday, December 20, at 11 a.m. to see all the boys and girls. We look forward to a funfilled morning. If there are any younger siblings who would like to come along or children who may be starting school in the coming years, they will be very welcome. This is also a Christmas no uniform day, so children are encouraged to wear their favourite Christmas jumper.

There will be an NCBI collection in January. So if you have any clothing etc to get rid of we would be delighted to receive it her in the school from Monday, 16th to Friday, January 20. Thank you.

STORYTELLI­NG

The next session of Storytelli­ng in Castledock­rell Hall is on Thursday, December 15, at 8 p.m. If you have never been why not come along for some good entertainm­ent the week before Christmas. There will be a raffle on the night. Teas served. Wishing all who attend the house of stories regularly during the year a very Happy Christmas. social dancing

The next Social in Marshalsto­wn Community Centre takes place on Friday, December 16. Music by that Master of the accordion Adrian Ryan. Doors open 9.30 p.m. Dancing starts at 10 p.m. Admission €7 including tea. Sure to be a lovely night out.
