CHRISTMAS LIGHTS DISPLAY

A local family have continued their Christmas tradition of switching on the exuberant lights display at their home, using the event to raise money for charity. The display at number seven St Bridget’s Tce, Clonegal, which includes Christmas trees, snowmen, Santa’s and of course plenty of lights, is put on annually by Seanie and Caroline Byrne and is becoming very popular.

The magical display of lights was switched on last Sunday, December 4, with Santa Claus providing kids with sweets. There was also a special visit from Disney character Minnie and Mickey Mouse.

This is the tenth year Seanie and Caroline have hosted the event, and the second year the money raised will go to the Special Olympics Carlow. A donation box will be in view at St, Brigid’s Tce and hope everyone will come help support this worthy charity. Seán and Caroline express a big thank you to all who turned up and your support would be greatly appreciated.
