Happy Pear duo taking their fun-filled ethos to Enniscorthy

-

WHETHER you’re looking forward to the Christmas turkey, or have an alternative dish planned, Stephen and David Flynn from The Happy Pear are sure to present lots of meat-free alternatives and accompaniments for those looking for something different over the festive season.

The Irish Cookbook of the Year winners will present a fun-filled cookery demonstration in The Riverside Park Hotel, Enniscorthy, this Thursday, December 22, at 7 p.m.

Their non-preachy, health education talk will include tasters, and attendees will learn how best to fill up on vegetables during the tempting Christmas season.

The brothers will share their passion for healthy, wholesome food and their journey to a happier, healthier lifestyle. They will talk about the benefits and nutritional value of eating more vegetables, whole foods and healthy alternatives, even at Christmas.

Tickets at €20 are on sale from Enniscorthy and District Chamber on 053 9232006 and from the hotel reception.

Catriona Murphy, CEO of the Chamber, said the event aims to look at health and well-being in general, and several local businesses will have stands on the evening including: Organic Vegetables from Desmond and Olive Thorpe; the Waterfront Pool and Leisure Centre; Spiritual Earth; The Nourishing Fairy; Ballyellen Pottery and Holos Skincare. MC is Anthony O’Toole. A raffle will be held for Wexford Hospice Homecare.
