11 Londis stores awarded for performance
Eleven Londis stores from across Wexford were awarded for their performance at the 2016 Londis retailing awards in the Powerscourt Hotel. The retailers were some of 82 nationwide to be honoured at the competition, which aims to recognise stores that excel across all areas of store performance. Londis Enniscorthy received the Retailing Excellence Award and title of Food Safety Store of the Year. Meanwhile, Boggan’s Londis Rosslare, O’Doherty’s Londis Our Lady’s Island, Hanrahan’s Londis The Faythe, Canavan’s Londis Inch, Doyle’s Londis Coolcotts, Dillon’s Londis Fethard-on-Sea and Doyle’s Londis Gorey won Retailing Excellence Awards. Hanrahan’s Londis Piercetown, O’Brien’s Londis Larkins Cross and O’Shea’s Londis Campile picked up Retailing Standard Awards. Accepting the Food Safety Store of the Year and a Retailing Excellence Award Deirdre Stoneham from Londis Enniscorthy said: ‘We are thrilled to receive this prestigious award which is testament to the extremely hard working team that we have in store. This accolade is not only a mark of pride for our store and staff, but importantly it shows our customers’ that we are passionate about delivering a top quality service. This is a very important point of differentiation in what is a very competitive marketplace and we’re honoured to have received this award.’ Londis Sales Director Conor Hayes congratulated all of the award winners: ‘In the past year, the standards across the Londis retail estate have improved greatly. The winners of this year’s awards are among the top retailers in the country. This award is recognition of the commitment and ambition demonstrated by these retailers to keep providing the highest level of service to their customers.’ In winning these awards, the stores were independently examined across a range of criteria including customer service, the quality of their fresh food offering, product range, and the store’s commitment to upholding the highest standards of hygiene and food safety.
