Slade Harbour, 2 p.m. This is the 34th annual Hook Sub Aqua Club swim at Slade, marking an unbroken chain from the club’s first festive dip in 1982. A club spokespers­on said: ‘Do come and support those who brave the water and why not join them.’Oh Oh

Oh! Dash ‘n Splash

The Burrow, Courtown, 12 midday When you’re done with Ho Ho Ho on St. Stephen’s Day, why not join Courtown Swim Club and Gorey Rugby Club Firsts for a dash and splash to wash away all the Christmas excesses? Meet in The Burrow, Courtown at midday. Refreshmen­ts will be served. Weather permitting they will be opening up the club container to play with boards and skis. Get in touch with either Courtown Swim Club and Gorey RFC for a sponsorshi­p card.

8KM CHARITY WALK/RUN

Registrati­on at Templeudig­an hall, 10 a.m. to 10.25 a.m. In aid of Bone Marrow for Leukaemia Trust. Refreshmen­ts afterwards in Templeudig­an Hall.

ST STEPHEN’S MILE

Kilmore Village Children’s Under 14 800m will start at 10.45 a.m. The mile (over 14 and up) will start at 11 a.m. Refreshmen­ts afterwards in the parish hall, hosted by Kilmore Athletic Club.

VINTAGE RUN.

Clonroche 12.30 p.m., travelling to Aughyvouir. Clonroche/Poulpeasty Vintage Club annual vintage run, with majority of proceeds to Clonroche Meals on Wheels.

8KM CHARITY WALK

Templeudig­an Parish Hall, 10.30 a.m. Templeudig­an Parish Council will hold an 8 km charity walk and run on St. Stephen’s Day with all funds raised at the event being donated to the Bone Marrow For Leukaemia Trust. Registrati­on for the walk/run will take place at Templeudig­an Parish Hall on St Stephen’s morning from 10 a.m. to 10:25 a.m., with the walk and run commencing at 10:30 a.m. sharp. An entry fee of €10 will be

charged to all participan­ts and teas will be served in Templeudig­an Parish Hall afterwards.

FESTIVE SWIM

Duncannon beach, 2 p.m. Duncannon Soccer Club have organised a festive swim to raise money for the club. Everyone is invited to come along and join in the festive merriment, or to cheer on the brave souls entering the water.

WEXFORD PEOPLE WEXFORD ON ICE

Wexford Quayfront, 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. Enjoy a skate at the Winterland ice. Stability aids available.
