BALLYCANEW NATIONAL SCHOOL

Ballycanew NS would like to thank everyone who came and supported and made a donation of cakes etc at their recent Coffee morning/Cake sale. Over €900 was raised and this will go towards classroom resources.

Raffle results as follows: 1st prize Ann Tighe, 2nd prize Lisa Commins, 3rd prize Mrs Murphy, 4th prize John and Eve, 5th prize Cepta Gammell, 6th prize Jessica Crean, 7th prize Eilish Concannon.

LIGHTS COMMITTEE

Ballycanew Lights Committee would like to thank everyone that made Santa’s Visit possible. To the committee for setting up of the grotto. To Mr O’Connor and the school choir thank you for a great performanc­e. And to Santa and his Elves for taking the time out to meet the children.

Also the Christmas lights committee would like to thank everyone for their continued support with the Split the pot. All money raised to date have went towards our own Esb connection, upgrades to strings of lights and new LED bulbs a great improvemen­t to date. Without your support the village wouldn’t look as good. Thank you for everything.

CHRISTMAS DRAW

The Developmen­t Associatio­n are starting a draw for a trailer of logs, draw will take place in the Ramble Inn on January 7, 2017. €2 a line or €5 for three line, we appreciate your continued support.

The members of Ballycanew Ballyought­er Developmen­t Associatio­n, would like to wish all members of our community a very happy Christmas, and Peaceful New Year. we would like to thank the community for their Support throughout the year. We would also like to thank all the business for their support during the year with sponsorshi­p prizes.

CHURCH GATE COLLECTION

County Wexford Community Workshop, Bellefield, Enniscorth­y will hold their annual Church Gate Collection in Ballycanew on Saturday, December 31, and Sunday, January 1, (in Ballyought­er on Sunday only). All money collected will stay in the workshop in Bellefield so your support is very greatly appreciate­d.

THANK YOU

A huge thanks to Santa and all his Elves and helpers for calling to Ballycanew village on Sunday last. He even made a special house call to two little children who were sick and couldn’t make it down to the village to see him.
