COMMUNITY GAMES

Due to the interest in quiz and art local trials will be held in each event. Under-14 Quiz Trials will take place in Bree Hall on this Tuesday, February 14, at 8.30 p.m. and U8-16 Art Trials will take place in Bree Hall from 10 a.m. to midday on Saturday, February 18. All participants must be under an age on August 1, eg under-8s may not have reached their eighth birthday before that date. All participants must be resident in the parishes of Bree, Davidstown or Cloughbawn. Well done to the under-13 Chess Team of Odhran Kehoe, Bill Quigley, Katie Doyle, Nathan Doyle, Cathal Ennis, Conn Frazer and Riona Kehoe, who took part in the under-13 Community Games Co Chess Finals on Thursday evening last in Glynn. The team performed well but was not among the medal winners. The under-16 team of Odin Doyle, Cormac Kehoe, Michael Humphrey, Nicholas Howe and Tom Quigley had no opposition and therefore qualify for the inter county rounds.

Best wishes to the four local Draughts teams competing in the Co Finals on this Saturday evening in Bree Hall.

Davidstown-Courtnacuddy camogie and Ladies’ football club Penny Bank has restarted for 2017 in the band room in Davidstown after Saturday evening Mass.
