COOKERY DEMONSTRAT­ION

Kildavin Developmen­t is holding a Cookery Demonstrat­ion in Conway’s Kildavin, on Saturday, March 4, at 7.pm, in aid of pathway from the village to GAA grounds. Tickets are €15 per person, including wine and canapés on arrival.

Enjoy a night of expert cooking and tasting by local Mark Murphy. Mark runs his own business called Dingle Cookery School and he has cooked up many a storm on Ireland AM. He is well known for his fresh local Irish food and is very passionate about ‘Catch and Cook’ method. Check out Mark’s website dinglecook­eryschool.com. CLONEGAL NS NEWS

‘We are Writers’ is an acclaimed literacy project from Scholastic that gives every child the chance to become a published author in their school’s very own book on March 2. A great way to celebrate World Book Day, ‘We Are Writers’ is free for schools to take part and can be used to fundraise and earn free books for classrooms and libraries.

Clonegal NS children will take part with their poems or stories and will be published in the ‘We are Writers’ book.

GAA LOTTO

The Kildavin-Clonegal GAA lotto was held in Conway’s Lounge, Kildavin, on Sunday, February 5. Numbers drawn were 04, 05, 07 and 26. There was no winner of the jackpot of €5,400. Winner that matched three was, TBA, receiving €150. Seller’s prize goes to TBA receiving €50. The next draw will take place in Dunne’s Lounge, Clonegal, on Sunday, February 19, 2017, at 10.30 p.m., with a jackpot worth €5,600. Tickets €2 each

THE MONDAY CLUB

The Monday club runs at St Mary’s centre, Bunclody for the 60+ age group, informatio­n sharing, arts and crafts, entertainm­ent and much more, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. every Monday, entry fee €4 which includes tea or coffee and light lunch. Transport is not provided.

Throughout the year we will have informatio­n sharing, entertainm­ent, arts and crafts, guest speakers and many more topics.

On Monday, February 20, we have ‘hints and ways to upscale your wardrobeh with Maureen Byrne. On Monday, February 27, we will have a social morning with crafts and games.

SONG AND STORY

The house of song and Story takes place every third Monday of the month in St Brigid’s hall, Clonegal at 8 p.m. The next session will be held on Monday, February 20. All are most welcome.

CAMOGIE REGISTRATI­ON

The Kildavin-Clonegal camogie club underage registrati­on night takes place on Thursday, February 16, from 7.30 p.m. to 8.30 p.m. in Spellman Park, Kildavin. Cost for registrati­on is as follows: under-6 and under-eight €17/child; under-10/ under-12 and under-14 €30/ child. Training starts on Saturday, March 4, in Spellman Park, Kildavin at 10.30 a.m. for under-six/ under-eight and under-10s; 11.15 a.m. for under-12 and under-14. Everyone is welcome.

Adult camogie Registrati­on night will take place on Thursday, February 16, in Spellman Park, Kildavin at 7 p.m. New members are welcome.
