COMMUNITY GAMES
Well done to the four Bree-Davidstown Draughts teams which competed in the Co Final in Bree Hall last weekend. The under-14 team of Michael Humphrey, Cormac Kehoe, Tom Quigley, Adam Twomey and Odin Doyle won the silver medal. Both the under-12 team of Odhran Kehoe, Katie Doyle, Bill Quigley, Cody Doran, and Aoibhe Donegan and the under-10 of Riona Kehoe, Luke Carr, Mai Quigley, Sadie Quigley, Nathan Doyle, Cathal Ennis and Conn Fraser were third in their section. Also taking part was the under-10 team of Cian Doyle, Lára Donegan, Oisin Harte, Jack Browne, Saoirse Harte and Dylan Martin.
Well done to all involved and to the Chess and Draughts mentors Martin Humphrey and Jim Doyle. Classes have now finished till the autumn. Best wishes to the Bree-Davidstown competitors in the Co Swimming final this Wednesday evening.

GALBALLY TRACTOR RUN
The annual Galbally Tractor Run in aid of Galbally Parish Funds will take place on Sunday, May 28.

COMMUNITY PLAYSCHOOL
Galbally Community Playschool are now taking enrolments for preschool in September 2017 and cater for children from all areas. Under the ECCE scheme children can be registered for free pre-school when they are aged three, and will be able to remain in free pre-school till they make the transition to primary school.

Fresh from her triple gold medal win in the Leinster under-19 Indoor Championships earlier this month, Aoife Cloke Rochford stepped onto the Senior Athletics Stage last weekend where she gained seventh place in the 60m final and a personal best performance. Congratulations, Aoife. Best of luck to Aoife and other junior athletes (under-17 to under-20) in action in the Leinster Junior Indoors in Abbottstown, this weekend.
BREE YOUTH CLUB
Envelopes for Bree Youth Club’s split-the-pot fundraiser are available in local shops and at Youth Club each Friday night. Draw takes place on the first Saturday of each month. Please support this venture as all funds raised will go back into the youth club.
GAA TRIPLE CROWN
Well done to Fintan Doyle and Stephen Treacy, who finished joint first in the 25km cycle. Congratulations to Paul Gibbons, who won the Bog Run. Congratulations also to Denis Asple, who was the overall Triple Crown win- ner over the three events. A big thank you to all stewards who helped out and made it all happen on the three big days, and a thank you to all the participants for taking part.
LOTTO
The lotto results from last week were 6, 14, 17 and 29. There was no jackpot winner. Lucky-dip winner was Anne O’Brien, who receives €100. The next draw is on March 1 in Bree.
