DRAMA FESTIVAL
The curtains are up on the 2017 Drama Season and nine nights of top groups and excellent plays are under way at the Kilmuckridge Memorial Hall contunuing till Saturday, March 4, at 8 p.m. with Mr Jim Wolstencroft as adjudicator. This year also offers tiered seating in the Theatre.
The remainder of the programme is as follows: Tuesday, February 28 – Lay Me Down Softly by Billy Roche, performed by Ballycogley Players Co Wexford (Confined Section). Wednesday, March 1 – An Inspector Calls, by JB Priestly, performed by Bridge Drama Co Wexford (Open Section). Thursday, March 2 – Portia Coughlan, by Marina Carr, performed by Wexford Drama Group (Open Section). Friday, March 3 – The Play about baby, by Edward Albee, performed by Prosperous Dramatic Society, Co Kildare (Open Section). Saturday, March 4 – The Telephone Exchange, by Niamh Gleeson, performed by Take five, Co Cork (Confined Section).
Admission Adults €10, Children €5 Patrons tickets nine nights for €60. Festival club nightly in Upton Court Hotel till late.

PARISH FINANCE COMMITTEE
Kilmuckridge Parish Finance Committee invites expressions of interest in tendering for: 1. The building of a single unit (disabled facility) extension to the church toilets. 2. The painting of the church interior walls (labour only). Contact Paddy Chawke at 087 9066547. Closing date is February 28.
PHOTOGRAPHY COMPETITION
Kilmuckridge Tidy Towns and the Photo Shop would like to announce details of the 2017 Photography Competition. Theme will be ‘Kilmuckridge Through Our Eyes’. Photographs should be set around Kilmuckridge and its townlands, including our local beaches, but the subject must be from or based in Kilmuckridge.
All photographs entered must be a minimum size of 7x5 inch, labelled and framed. All entries will be considered for use in the Tidy Towns 2018 Calendar. The entered photographs will be exhibited over the Easter weekend from Good Friday, April 14, to Easter Monday, April 17, in the KMH (times to be confirmed). You can vote for your favourite photograph at 50c per vote and you can vote as many times as you like. Winners will be announced on Easter Monday.
The Photo Shop will also be holding an exhibition on ‘Shipwrecks off our coastline’ this very popular exhibit will also include ‘Photos from Kilmuckridge’s Past’ over the Easter Weekend. This exhibit showed great interest last year and no doubt will prove the same this year. If anyone has any photos, letters or memorabilia etc. that they would like to be included in the exhibition please contact Mary at the Photo Shop at 087 9417456. TIDY TOWNS
One Million Trees in One Day – Kilmuckridge Tidy Towns would like to thank the Guides and the various residents’ associations for helping plant trees. A total of 50 Trees were planted along the Enniscorthy Road, Silverdale, The Race Course, Chapel Wood and Beechbrook Park.

Kilmuckridge parent, baby and Toddler Group meets on Tuesday mornings from 9 a.m. to 11.30 a.m. at the indoor and outdoor play areas, located in St Joseph’s National School prefab building. Cost is €3 per family which includes tea, coffee and snacks. Look us up on Facebook.

TRAINING SCHEME
Kilmuckridge COTS (Career Opportunities Training Scheme) is a WWETB (formerly Fás) training centre located in Kilmuckridge and is aimed at people in receipt of a social welfare payment between the ages of 18 and 35.
We are offering the opportunity to complete a Level five in Retail Practice with additional subjects: payroll, and book keeping. This is a fulltime course scheduled to commence in September 2017.
