EASTER TREASURE HUNT

At Huntington Castle we are looking forward to Easter this year with a return to our golden nugget treasure hunt from Saturday, April 15, to Monday, April 17, from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily.

Each child will receive a basket and set of clues to help them gather the nuggets hidden around the garden. There will be lots of exploring in the Wilderness and Gardens with possibly some surprises along the way and then a triumphant return to the Courtyard to claim their chocolate gift. There is limited availabili­ty so don’t leave it too late.

FESTIVAL OF CRAFTS

Festival of crafts and Demonstrat­ions 2017, in Conjunctio­n with Carlow County Council, will hold demonstrat­ions of weaving, spinning, arts and crafts on Saturday, May 6, at the Weavers’ Cottages, Clonegal. Free Admission, donations accepted.

TAES SCHOOL OF DANCING

TAEs School of dancing is held every Wednesday night, in Conway’s function room from 7.30 p.m. to 9.30 p.m. Cost:€10 per person, no partner required. SONG AND STORY

The house of song and Story will take place on Monday, April 17, in St Brigid’s Community Hall, Clonegal at 8 p.m. All are most welcome.

RELAXATION FOR TEENS

Help to release some of that exam year tension and take an actual break over the Easter holidays, even if it’s just for two hours. Yoga and Relaxation for teens classes will be held in CroiYoga Studio, Main Street, Bunclody on Easter Saturday, Saturday, April 15, from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m., costs €20. KIDS CLUB – BUNCLODY

An Easter kids’ club for kids age 5-12, will be held in the soccer club, Bunclody on Wednesday, April 12, 3 p.m. to 4.30 p.m. Activities include games, crafts, Bible story, snacks and lots of fun. Admission is free. For more informatio­n, please contact Johanna at 086 1621546.

DEEPEST SYMPATHY

The community was saddened to hear the death of John-John Hogan, Old Forest, Bunclody, who passed away on March 14. Sadly missed by his loving wife Antoinette, daughter May, mother Bridget, brothers and sisters, Charlie, Mary, Kathleen, Peadar, Ger, Martina, Shelly and Jimmy, parents-in-law, Paul and Una Murphy, extended family, neighbours, work colleagues and friends. Funeral Mass took place on March 17, in the Most Holy Trinity Church, Bunclody, followed by burial afterwards in Calvary Cemetery, Bunclody. May he rest in peace.
