TIDY TOWNS
It’s that time of year again and just a reminder to everyone that the judging time for the the Tidy Towns Competition is now here. Judging takes place during June, July and August. We would ask everyone again to make a special effort this year as we are still first in the county for the tidies centre. A huge thank you for your support in the past and your continued support, it is really appreciated.
BALLYOUGHTER PATRON
The Ballyoughter Patron and blessing of graves will take place on Sunday, June 25, at 2 p.m. followed by the annual field day in the New School.
CCTV SCHEME
A survey is being carried out by the Ballycanew-Ballyoughter Community Development Association with regard to the proposed Community Based CCTV Scheme. This survey will be delivered to you over the next few days by our members We appreciate your help.
The Development Association have been informed that funding for a Community Based CCTV Scheme is available from the Department of Justice and Equality. We hope to make an informative decision if this would be of benefit to our community.
The Survey should only take 20 minutes to answer, and we appreciate your co-operation. A drop box will also be available on Percival’s. The results of the survey will be collated and reported back to the community.
COI PARISH SALE
The Ballycanew Church of Ireland parish sale took place on Friday, June 9. Many raffles took place. Please see below for the list of winners in the various raffles.

SKITTLETON THANKS
The Jimmy Kavanagh (Shakey) skittleton committee would like to thank all who supported the event. We would like to thank the fosponsors for their donations of raffle prices.
Men’s winners was Patsy’s Princesses; Women winners was Stuffed Muffins. Cup winners was Stuffed Muffins. We are delighted to say we raised €1,900 on the weekend and there was a coin donation of €230 so we will be handed over a cheque to Wexford Hospice Home care and palliative care of €2,130 on Saturday, June 24, at 9.30 p.m. Hope you will be able to join us on the night.
