Niamh to cut loose for Footloose role
OYSTER LANE Theatre Group in Wexford has revealed a top-drawer cast for its upcoming 2017 production of ‘Footloose’ which is due to take place in October.
Playing the title role of Ren McCormack is the talented Nathan Fitzpatrick who has returned to the group after a break of nine years.
Playing against him in the role of Ariel Moore is Niamh Bolger from Enniscorthy, who has starred in several of the group’s productions.
Recent AIMS winner Caroline O’Connell will play Ren’s downtrodden mother Ethel and OLTG stalwarts Majella Londra and Greg Currid will take on the roles of Ariel’s parents, Vi and Reverend Shaw Moore.
Taking on the role of Ren’s hilarious best friend, Willard is James Dobbs who is new to the society but a familiar face in other local society’s shows.
Ariel’s three best friends will be played by an outstanding group of girls, Elaine Murphy, Catherine Devereux and Ceris Brown.
Other well known members also returning to the stage are Neal O’Leary (Cowboy Bob), Paula Malone Carty (Lulu Warnicker) and Mick Farrell (Chuck Cranston).
The cast and ensemble will be put through their paces by Director Imelda McDonagh, musical director Patrick Clancy and choreographer Suzanne O’Leary.

They were completely blown away by the array of talent of its junior members, as our ethos is to mix youth with the experience, so the future is definitely looking bright for Oyster Lane,’ said PRO Brandon Cogley.
