SPLIT THE POT

Congratula­tions to the winners of our recent celebratio­n draw: Garry Fortune €114, Conor O’Sullivan €50 and Paula Dunne €25. The draw was very well supported and we thank you for your continued support.

Split-the-pot has raised over €8,000 for the school so far and will continue through the summer months in all local businesses: Angelo’s Takeaway, The Sawdust, Caroline’s Hairdressi­ng, Bob’s Lounge, Bob’s Shop and Takeaway, Barry Walsh’s Car Servicing, The Unyoke Cafe, The Trading Post, Tim’s Chipper, The post office and Ballaghkee­ne Daybreak.

GAA 300 CLUB DRAW

In the June Draw the first prize of €100 was won by Marty O’Toole and Jane Toohill. Catherine and Peter O’Brien won €50 as did Des Mythen. Míle buíochas to all subscriber­s.

GAA ACADEMY

The ‘Red and Black’ Play and Stay Academy is on Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. and new members are welcome to join. This is a pilot eight-week program and we hope that it will be something that we can continue for many years to come.

THATCHING FUND

As a final push to the fundraisin­g efforts to secure the future of the Storytelli­ng House in Oulart, the organisers are holding a Jumble sale which will hopefully help to complete the fundraisin­g before the Thatching begins in August. Sincere thanks to all for your help and support.

JUMBLE SALE

On July 9, from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m., a Jumble Sale will be held at Bygone Days Storytelli­ng House, Lower Oulart. A huge selection of good quality items will be on offer. You are encouraged to come along and grab a bargain. Tea will be available as well as face-painting for the children. A lovely selection of cakes and other goodies will be on sale plus many more attraction­s. Ring 087 9116695 for details.
