TIDY TOWNS

Blackwater Tidy Towns would like to invite volunteers to join in the summer work programme. Meet on the bridge at 10.30 a.m. on Wednesdays and Saturdays weather permitting for planting, weeding, sweeping, watering, so come prepared.

The main fundraising event, the annual summer raffle will be held this year on Sunday, August 6,. Lines will be on sale locally beforehand. We look forward to your continued support and many thanks.

ACTIVE RETIREMENT

Some members of the group went on the day trip to Hook Head, Loftus Hall and Tintern Abbey on June 26. It was a great day out, and most enjoyable.

Next outing is the Foot Golf on Tuesday, July 4, at 2.30 p.m. at Blackwater Golf Club. All members welcome.

JUMBLE SALE

As a final push to our fundraising efforts to secure the future of the Bygone Days Storytelling House, Lower Oulart, we are holding a jumble sale on July 9 from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. which will hopefully help us reach our target.

There will be a huge selection of good quality items on offer, come along and grab a bargain, tea, facepainting for the children and cakes on sale plus many more attractions, come along and help our thatching fund.

We are starting to Thatch in August so need to raise the last few euros needed. Thank you all for your help and support since we started fundraising.
