Gerald and Kathy Dunne, Merton will host an Open Garden Fundraiser at their home in Merton this Sunday, July 9, from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. There will be a raffle, plant and produce stall, cake stall, bottle stall and lots more. Admission is €3 with tea and treats. All proceeds in aid of Clonmore Church.

Ballybrennan Patron will be held on Friday evening, July 14, and Bree on Sunday, August 20.

BRI BEAG
Thanks to everyone who donated and purchased items at the recent coffee morning. Thanks also to the Men’s Shed Group, who made a very generous donation to Bri Beag in recent weeks.
BALLYHOGUE GAA NEWS
Well done to the Ballyhogue under-14 hurlers who reached the semi-final of their division in the Féile. They did their club very proud. The Féile section hosted in Bree was a great success and thanks to everyone for their help. For pictures of the Féile and photographer information check out the Ballyhogue GAA Facebook page. Hard luck to the Junior Hurlers, who lost in the league final to Bunclody recently in Patrick’s Park.

Congratulations to the boys under-13 Relay of Shane Doran, Seán Rowley, Ryan Whelan, Robbie Chapman and Oisin Rochford, who won the silver medals in the National Relay Championships on Sunday last.
Best wishes to all Bree AC athletes competing in the under-12-19 National Championships this weekend.
CELTIC ROOTS RETURN
A full Irish show in association with Celtic Roots will begin in Bree Hall on Tuesday, July 11. The night’s entertainment begins at 8.30 p.m. with a scone and light refreshments followed by an hour and a half show of music, song, dance and storytelling. Admission is 10 for adults with concessions for children and groups. For bookings contact 087 7535354.

EDERMINE REGATTA
Edermine Ferry Rowing Club will host their annual Regatta over the weekend of Saturday and Sunday, July 8 and 9. The regatta will open with the traditional blessing of the boats on Saturday afternoon and racing is expected to commence both days at approximately 4 p.m. subject to tide conditions being suitable.
Competitive categories range from under-12s in junior races up through the various adult races and there promises to be a col- ourful display of Wexford Slaney Cots from the Slaney Rowing Association clubs as they compete for the winning titles and silverware to covet from the 25 race-final schedule.
The club wishes all competitors every success and enjoyment over the weekend and welcomes all supporters and spectators to their regatta.
