PATRON

The patron takes place in Davidstown on Saturday, August 5, at 6.30 p.m. which will be followed by Field Evening.

COURTNACUD­DY VINTAGE DAY

The vintage day took place last Sunday at parish grounds in Courtnacud­dy. It was a great day and the organisers wish to thank all who gave their support. The winners of the raffle were first Roga Hendrick, second Ryan Hatton, third Garry and Lily Dunne, fourth Dick Martin, fifth Derek McCormack, sixth Jack Cooper, seventh Annette Delahunty.

COURTNACUD­DY NATIONAL SCHOOL

The Junior Entreprene­ur fourth, fifth and sixth classes have created a booklet about Courtnacud­dy. It includes a lot of informatio­n about the locality. PLENARY INDULGENCE

For the 100th anniversar­y of the apparition­s of Our Lady of Fatima Portugal. Pope Francis has granted a Plenary Indulgence throughout the entire year of 2017. The Rector of Fatima Shrine in Portugal explained the Plenary Indulgence can be obtained by the faithful who cannot visit the Fatima Shrine in Portugal. Who visit any church where a statue of Our Lady of Fatima is exposed for public veneration during the days of the anniversar­y of the apparition­s (13th of each month from May to October and they devoutly pray in honour of the Virgin Mary, Pray the Our Father, Recite the creed and invoke our Lady of Fatima also go to confession­s and receive Holy Communion on the day or on an approximat­e date to the visit and pray for the Holy Father. A statue of Our Lady of Fatima is exposed for public veneration in Courtnacud­dy Church where the Rosary will be recited on the 13th of each month May to October at 3 p.m. The Rosary is also recited in Davidstown Parish Church on the 13th of each month at 3 p.m.

GAA

Davidstown-Courtnacud­dy camogie and Ladies’ football club have tickets at €10 each for race meeting in Wexford Racecourse on July 28 (ladies evening). This is Wexford lgfa fundraiser. If anyone would like to buy a ticket or sell a few please contact Tommy Kelly or any member of the club.

HOLY HOUR

A Holy Hour with Exposition of Blessed Sacrament will take place in Courtnacud­dy Church on Sunday, August 13, from 3 p.m. to 4 p.m. The Holy Hour will take place every second Sunday of each month.

ROSARY

The Fatima Rosary takes place in Davidstown Church on 13 of each month at 3 p.m. Every first Saturday morning there is a rosary hour in Courtnacud­dy church from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. In Davidstown the rosary will be said before all masses. All are welcome to come along and take part.
