CAHORE REGATTA

The Cahore Regatta and fun day takes place on Saturday, August 12, from 12.30 p.m. onwards. Come along for raft races, bouncy castle, crab fishing competition, barbecue, entertainment. This is a fundraiser for Cahore Inshore Rescue Service.

KILLENAGH MEETING

Killenagh Community Development Association is holding a public meeting in O’Brien’s pub/lounge on Tuesday, July 11, at 8 p.m. to discuss and update the community on local matters.

BLOTTO DRAW

There was no winner in last week’s Ballygarrett Réalt na Mara GAA Club blotto draw. The numbers picked were 17, 18, 26 and 27. The €20 luckydip winners were Barney Byrne, Kate McDonald, David O’Toole, Maureen Whelan, Colm O’Loughlin. The five free tickets winner was Lorena O’Neill. This week’s jackpot rose to €11,500.

BRIDGE CLUB

Come play bridge every Monday night for the summer months of July and August at 7 p.m. at Seán Óg’s Bridge Club, Upton Court Hotel, Kilmuckridge. Partner required. Results for Monday, July 3 – first: Jo and Podge Ussher; second: Maria Sheridan and Kathleen McDonnell.

Also, bridge is played every Thursday morning from 10 a.m. at Seán Óg’s. No partner needed – we have a joker system in operation – all are welcome. Results from Thursday, June 29 – First: Gwen and Joe Gilmore; second: June Coogan and Sadie Owens.
